1 Skin is a chair born from the inspiration of Ron Arad, who confronts wood, shapes it, understands and controls its behavior, identifying in the work a transition point within his personal formal research.
1 Skin Chair, as if it were a tribute to the modernist work of Herbert Von Thaden, is placed in the tradition of the sculptural object produced using a single material. The result is surprising, in some respects it seems to deny the evidence perceived by the senses: there is no molding, there is no injection, there is no thermoplastic material.
It's wood, just curved and varnished wood.
